THE PROCESS OF TEACHING ENGLISH
The process of teaching English in Venezuela has been evolving during the last thirty years, and the students have been adapting themselves and adapting their needs as students to this reality. This process of changing is understood as a teaching method that the student must pass through to get an effective apprentices of English as a foreign language One important aspect in this teaching process is reading comprehension, and is for that reason that during the time of teaching English as well as others foreign language that is very important to develop mainly this skill. In association of the teaching process tendency of reading comprehension as skill on capabilities, exist three focus groups, which are establish depending on the way that the student the process during the reading: the ascending focus, the descend focus and the interactive focus.
Firstly, the ascending focus consist on explain the process as the execution of a series of operations which are initiate with the perception of visual stimulus that appear on the reading and conclude when the student reconstruct in their minds the meaning that the author wart to transmit, this focus is characterize for giving more importance to the perceptive-visual process during the process of reading
In contrast with the ascending focus, the descent focus its define as a series of operations or steps to follow that are initiated with the hypothesis formulation that makes the student reader about the meaning of the text, to then confirm or reject as final results the analysis made to the information giving on the text. In other words, the process will be initiated in the student readers mind and will conclude on the text page.
To end with focus group, we find the interactive focus, which explain that the reconstruction of the text meaning during the reading is the result of the interaction for the two types of information. In summary, to understand the reading is necessary that the student take into account their previous knowledge as the characteristics and the text context.
